1960 Plymouth XNR Concept Car

The 1960 Plymouth XNR was designed by Chrysler/Plymouth designer Virgil Exner (hence the name XNR) in an attempt to create more enthusiasm for the development of a sports car at Chrysler/Plymouth. Under the hood you can find a 2.8 liter, 6 cylinder that will deliver 250 horsepower and has a top speed of 240 km/h.

The car was build by Carrozzeria Ghia in Italy where they send it back after they decided to not take it into production. After that the car had several owners and eventually went to the Shah of Persia, later on it got spotted in Beirut and now the car came to the US, got restored and will be auctioned soon.
